In May of 2019, many movies were released with some of them making milestones. Avengers: Endgame was on the road to be the most sold movie ever. Meantime, the movie is already in the top 5 by revenue when compared in terms of the first week sales. The movie is leading the top 5 US movie opening weekends all-time sales. Moreover, in some countries the popularity and the demand was so big that the prices were few times higher than the original ticket for the Avengers: Endgame at some point.

The currency aspect to this story is that the tickets to Avengers: Endgame were bought and sold on the opening weekend and even further by the buyers around this world. It was not only theaters that sold the tickets, but in the secondary market too. For example, in China it costed 10s of US dollars to attend the movie in theaters after secondary market prices. People resold their ticket not only in China but in other emerging markets too. Movies as Godzilla: King of the Monsters were also released, but the attention was more to Avengers: Endgame. At a time when the movie was released, it took the first place in all-time table that can be seen below.

By the middle of the May 2019, Avengers: Endgame was breaking few records. Avengers: Endgame has collected $2.49 billion that far in theaters worldwide. Pokemon Detective Pikachu was the second most seen movie in theaters at the start of the May with about $58 million in ticket sales on one of the weekends in the middle of May.

Worldwide, the sales of Avengers: Endgame were too breaking records with topping the all-time list with $641 million in receipts in the opening weekend. Moreover, that is more than 500 million euros at that time. That was how it compared to other popular all-time movies in the first weekend at that time as shown above. Clearly, the Avengers: Endgame had bigger demand due to larger population, but also to other factors such as accessibility to theaters and many more. In terms of the movie, there were different reviews as well.
